PJCAD International Student Unit makes effort to provide international students with relevant support to help make their study in Malaysia enjoyable and comfortable experience.

 

 

 

 

 

The International Student Unit primarily assist international students with advice and information with regards to immigration procedures and Student Visa application for study in Malaysia. The unit also provides advice and assistance to help international students adjust to a new environment.

Throughout your studies with us, you may approach our International Students Unit officer for support in any of the services that are made available to you.

Events for students are organized throughout the year to promote an artistic and cultural atmosphere on campus and encouraging greater interaction between the academic and administration staff, international and Malaysian students.


>STUDENT PASS / VISA

All International Students should obtain a Student Pass Approval letter from the Malaysian Immigration Department prior to entering Malaysia. Students who enter the country without a Student Pass Approval will be liable for a  (Journey performed (JP) fees and processing fee) by the Immigration Department of Malaysia upon entering the country.

PJCAD will assist International Students with the Student Pass application.

>APPLICATION OF STUDENT VISA


HOW TO APPLY


Complete and return the Application Form, enclose supporting documents / certificates and forward to the International Students’ Unit by post, courier or fax.



Support documents required:

School Examination Certificates [O-Levels / A-Levels / High School Certificates, and / or other equivalent qualifications, etc.]

School Leaving Certificate [must have completed 11 years of primary & secondary schooling]

School Testimonials – from your principal / teachers with official stamp.

6 Passport size photographs.

Photocopies of your current passport. Please be informed that you passport must be valid for at least 3 years. All pages including Front cover and back cover.

Completed Application Form together with a non-refundable Registration fee of RM 1800.

All the above documents must reach the International Students’ Unit at least 2 months before the start of the intended course. The college intakes are January / March / July of each year.

A letter of Offer will be posted / faxed / couriered to the student to facilitate the application for the student’s passport.

The college will then submit the immigration forms to the Malaysian Immigration office for approval. The approval process will take approximately 4-6 weeks.

All international students are encouraged to obtain a Student Pass Approval letter from the Malaysian Immigration Department prior to entering Malaysia. Students who enter the country without a Student Pass Approval will be liable for a (Journey performed (JP) fee of RM500) imposed by the Immigration Department of Malaysia upon entering the country.

>TRAVEL ARRANGEMENT

Once the Student Pass is approved, we will send the student a copy of the approval letter with an Air Port Pickup Form.

Students are required to complete the Air Port Pickup Form stating the following details:

• Flight Number
• Date of Arrival
• Time of Arrival

and send / fax / email to the International Student Unit at least 3 weeks before date of arrival.

On the student's arrival, he/she will be met at the airport by The International Student Unit Officer. The student are required to remain at the Customs Lounge until the College representative clears their entry at the Immigration Check Point at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA).

 

 
 
>RENEWAL OF STUDENT PASS

The Student Pass / Visa is only valid for 1-year. Students are required to renew it annually throughout their course of study.

Procedure for Renewal of Student Visa

Students are required to submit their passport to our International student Office 2 MONTHS before the date of visa expiry.

The renewal process will take approximately 3-6 weeks.

Students are required to submit their passport to our International student Office 2-MONTHS before the date of visa expiry.

The cost for any overstay penalty / compound will be bourne by the student.

The International Student Officer will inform student of passport collection time once the renewal is successful.

A Visa renewal fee of RM 400 is payable for each renewal.

>FINANCE & PAYMENT OF FEES

The currency used in Malaysia is the Ringgit (RM). International students will be required to make all payments in Ringgit and are advised to obtain sufficient financial sponsorship to ensure that their stay will be comfortable in Malaysia . Students are also advised to open a bank account for their convenience. Please seek the assistance of the International Students’ Unit representative to select a bank.

It is the policy of the College that all International Students pay one year’s fees in full in advance.

COURSE FEES

>HOSPITALIZATION & SURGICAL INSURANCE

It is compulsory for all foreign students to subscribe to this hospitalisation and surgical insurance as they are living away from home. It will cost RM 400 per year and it covers personal accidents and hospitalisation and surgical expenses.

Benefits of this policy includes:

• Hospital Room & Board
• Ambulance Services
• Reimbursement of Tuition Fees
• Medical Evacuation Expenses

Payment of this insurance policy is to be made together with the tuition fees and you are required to renew it annually.

You will be given an insurance policy card with an SOS phone number printed behind. By showing this card during admittance to hospital, the personnel will be responsible to call the SOS number and to verify the membership. You will be admitted into the hospital without the need for placements of deposit.

Foreign students are exempted from this insurance coverage only if they are able to prove that they are covered by a similar policy.
