Students who have earned credits at another institution and who wish to apply for special exemptions or advanced standing in the course are required to submit thier application together with a non-refundable exemption processing fee of RM200.

Applicants who do not meet the minimum English Language qualifications are required to enrol in PJCAD’s English Improvement Programme (EIP).
The EIP@PJCAD is an academic English language program that emphasises communicative ability. This program is the ideal course for students who want to achieve a globally-recognised certificate that proves thier ability to use English for academic study in universities and colleges around the world. |

Applicants are also required to demonstrate proficiency in English, a pass in SPM / O-Levels English or have studied subjects that require a satisfactory level in English.
Indonesia
Completed Senior High School and the National Final Evaluation Examination (SMA or SMU)
5 subject credits, including English (Grade 6 and above)
China
Senior High School Leaving Certificate and have sat for the National College Entrance Examination (NCEE)
Certificate/ Diploma in arts-related studies

In addition to the above, all applicants must possess a TOEFL score of 500 or IELTS Band 5

Adult or mature applicants are considered only if they can demonstrate a high standard of academic comprehension, personal attitude and talent. The Admission Committee of PJCAD may have to consider the applicant's academic background, relevant employment, experience or some evidence of maturity, motivation or ability that will ensure the applicant’s success in the course.
Apart from the above, students should have the right attitude, sense of fun, perseverance, patience, hard work, sense of urgency, courage and most of all passion.
Applicants with relevant academic qualifications and artistic qualifications / practice, or those who are transferring from an approved institution of similar stature may be granted advanced standing entry which gives direct entry to the second or third year of the diploma course.
A portfolio interview will be required where a Special Entry Panel will assess the eligibility of such applicantions.
